My Do Something List for 2026

The Do Something List is unlike any other "list" you may be encouraged to make. Forget goals, forget resolutions, forget productivity.

The purpose of the DSL is to uncover and discover . . .YOU!!!

Here is my DSL for 2026 (+ ongoing updates will appear in parentheses)

  1. Bake 6 new recipes (Sourdough waffles)

  2. Go to 15 “get out and get cultured” events (Peter Pan ballet, Brandi Carlile concert, Peter Pan Goes Wrong, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hades Town, Hallmarked, Riverdance, Yellowcard concert)

  3. Explore hobbies via "My Hobby Year" Challenge (JAN: Ballet; FEB: wildflower sketches; MAR: learning quilting; APR: community theater)

  4. See 6 movies in the theater (Project Hail Mary)

  5. Host 3 Girls' Nights (January!)

  6. Go camping

  7. Go on a trip/overnighter with Brad (Nashville!)

  8. Go on 3 out-of-state adventures (Nashville)

  9.  Make a colorful quilt

  10.  --Sew something to wear-- (may take out)

  11.  Explore 4 new hikes (2-Logan)

  12.  --Have fun with fashion (+ rock that suit!)-- (wore the first suite on KSL segment)

  13.  Take a "ME DAY" (DONE! on my b-day)

  14.  Make 6 flower bouquets using flowers from the garden (Made 4 already)

  15. Complete the Read the Shelf Challenge (Books Read from Challenge: 8)
